A massive fight startled the residents of Cáceres Street, in the Madrid district of Arganzuela, on Monday morning.

Inside the Saboy bar, a place that works as an

after hour

bar , there was a fight that led to

a massive brawl with the throwing of chairs, tables and bottles.

The result of the fight was 11 people arrested and a total of seven people injured.

A Madrid Emergency spokesman said yesterday that around 10:00 a.m. several ambulances intervened, transporting five people to different hospitals with contusions, cuts and bruises.

The neighbors assure that

the fight began in the premises located at number 41 of Cáceres street

and continued in the street.

The action of numerous patrols of the National Police was necessary and agents of the Municipal Police also participated to transfer the detainees to the cells of the Arganzuela police station.

Most of the detainees are Ecuadorians, although there were also two Spaniards among those arrested, according to police sources.

All are between 22 and 35 years old and are

accused of a mass fight and injuries,

said a spokesman for the Madrid Police Headquarters.

Several of those arrested were very drunk, according to witnesses.
