Youth violence between gangs yesterday claimed the life of the fourth boy in the region so far this year.
An 18-year-old adolescent of Spanish nationality
died at noon after receiving several stab wounds to the back and abdomen
in the Los Angeles neighborhood of the Villaverde Alto district of Madrid, according to the Madrid Police Headquarters and Madrid Emergency Department.
The victim, a resident of the area, was attacked by between 10 and 15 individuals armed with sticks and machetes when he was in a vacant lot near some old train tracks.
The main hypothesis is that
it is a revenge crime due to recent clashes between
Latino gangs.

Direct relatives of the murdered young man confessed to the Police that he had joined a group of gang members and that he had received threats.

Upon arrival, members of Samur-Civil Protection continued with the maneuvers, but without success, confirming the boy's death minutes later.
Agents from the Violent Crimes group of the Scientific Police Brigade and agents from Group V of Homicides of the National Police, which has taken charge of the investigation of the event, went to that same street.
The Police inspected the area of the park where the aggression took place in search of the white weapons used in the crime.

"As a backdrop we have a clear lack of alternatives for kids that we have allowed to grow up in disadvantaged environments, in neighborhoods far from the center (socioeconomic and cultural).
We cannot look the other way for years and then put our hands in our heads and ask for a strong hand and more police presence, without further ado"

Since last February and after a weekend with two deaths due to brawls between Latino gangs, the Government Delegation has activated
a plan to combat this type of street violence.
The plan has resulted in 32,297 identified people, 304 detainees, the seizure of 124 weapons and the filing of 1,067 records for drugs.
The crime in Alcocer de Villaverde street would be the first murder between gangs after the implementation of this plan.
However,
there have been incidents between gang members with serious injuries in the last three months.
Without going any further, last Sunday in a cocktail bar in Tetuan a dozen young people entered and stabbed a 20-year-old Dominican.
