On April 25th, local time, Qin Gang, the Chinese ambassador to the United States, visited Yinghua College in Minneapolis, Minnesota and gave a Chinese class to the students of the school as "Mr. Qin".
He told the origin and meaning of the word "和" in class, and told the students to respect each other.
On the same day, Qin Gang also watched the performance of the students in the gymnasium of Yinghua University and had an interactive Q&A with them.
When answering a student's question, he mentioned "Poems of Mulan", which attracted the students in the audience to recite it in unison, and the scene seemed to be turned into a Chinese poetry conference.
Founded in 2006, Yinghua College is the first public Chinese immersion charter school in the United States. The school is taught in Mandarin Chinese in grades kindergarten to eighth.
