Emmanuel Macron owes a large part of his victory on Sunday evening to the support of voters who voted for Jean-Luc Mélenchon in the first round of the presidential election.

In the city of Montreuil, where 55% of them voted for the candidate of La France insoumise, it is hoped that this vote will "force" the re-elected president to hear their voice.

On the left, the voters of La France insoumise will be very attentive to the first steps of the re-elected president.

Emmanuel Macron had given a helm to the left: exit retirement at 65, promise of a green shift also with the appointment of a Prime Minister in charge of ecological planning... In Montreuil, where Jean-Luc Mélenchon is arrived in the lead in the first round, the voters of La France insoumise hope that the outgoing president will take their vote into account.

In this popular city in the Paris suburbs, Emmanuel Macron won 83% of the votes cast on Sunday evening.

The President of the Republic took advantage of the postponement of the votes of the electorate of Jean Luc Mélenchon.

Gaëtanne, for example, voted for the candidate of La France insoumise in the first round and then Emmanuel Macron in the second.

She now hopes her vote will count.

"Let him also take a step towards the other part of the electorate who undoubtedly voted for him, what I expect from him is to have more social and ecological measures", confides- she.
