Three armed Palestinians were killed by an Israeli unit in the northern West Bank on Saturday night.

According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, the incident happened in Arabah near the city of Jenin.

The Israeli forces shot at a car in which the men were traveling.

Israel's domestic intelligence service, the Shin Bet, announced on Saturday that it was a terrorist cell responsible for an attack near Tulkarem.

The men were also currently planning new attacks.

In an attempt to arrest them, they shot at a joint unit of the army, police and Shin Bet.

The security forces fired back.

Weapons and hand grenades were found on the men.

Four Israeli soldiers were injured, police said.

Eleven people killed in a series of attacks

The Israeli news site ynet reported that they were members of the militant Palestinian organization Islamic Jihad.

The extremist group confirmed the dead in their ranks.
