A second man was killed when he was shot by soldiers at the entrance to the town of Beit Awa in the West Bank. This comes at a time when the Israeli government is calling for a 'change of approach' to the situation in the Gaza Strip.
A number of Palestinian youths were also injured in clashes with the Israeli soldiers. The Israeli army has arrested at least 20 people in connection with the clashes, including a Palestinian man who was shot in the head by the soldiers. A Palestinian woman was also injured when she was hit by a bullet.
