Stanislas Rigault, the president of Génération Zemmour and early supporter of the candidate, was verbally and physically attacked on Friday evening on the sidelines of a meeting by Éric Zemmour in Metz.

Exclusively, at the microphone of Europe 1, the young man of 23 years returns to the details of this attack.

A few hours after the end of Éric Zemmour's meeting in Metz, which took place on Friday March 18, 2022, two videos were posted on Twitter.

On one of them, we can see Stanislas Rigault, president of Generation Z being verbally attacked by several individuals with very vulgar insults.

Several candidates attacked since the start of the campaign

This Saturday evening, the 23-year-old young man reacted exclusively to the microphone of Europe 1 and described these attackers as "scum, who came to hunt people leaving the meeting of Éric Zemmour".

Stanislas Rigault also assures verbal threats that he "received a kick in the back, not very hard" by his own admission and assures that he "did not come to be a mourner, but to denounce the attacks on the sidelines of meetings and this campaign.

The president of Generation Zemmour confirms, unlike the Reconquest candidate, that he does not have security services.

Since the beginning of the campaign, several of the candidates have been assaulted.

This is the case of Éric Zemmour who received an egg in Moissac in the Tarn-et-Garonne or Valérie Pécresse who received pink powder during her speech before the confederation of small and medium-sized enterprises.

More generally, according to a report by the Ministry of the Interior, attacks on elected officials increased by 80% in 2021 compared to 2020.
