“In the event of the death of military personnel ... in the territories of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Lugansk People’s Republic and Ukraine, military personnel who performed special tasks on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic ... their family members are paid a lump sum payment in the amount of 5 million rubles in equal shares,” – according to the decree on the Kremlin website.
Soldiers injured during a special operation in Ukraine will be paid 3 million rubles.
Earlier, Putin said that during the military operation in Ukraine, Russian soldiers and officers act courageously, like real heroes.
