The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has shown himself today in favor of the party's

barons

having full autonomy to decide on the post-

election pacts

.

The party's leadership must have a role in coordinating the discourse, but the regional leaderships must have "autonomy to decide

which pact is most convenient

," Moreno said in an interview on Onda Cero.

The Andalusian president responded to questions from Carlos Alsina about the PP's strategy in relation to Vox in the framework of the negotiations for the formation of the

government in Castilla y León.

Moreno explained that the political context and "sociology" of Castilla y León are different from those of Andalusia.

Even so, he has pointed out that the PP and Vox have issues on which they agree, such as the territorial unity of the State or on many economic aspects, and others on which they disagree.

And it has established some red lines in a hypothetical negotiation for the formation of a government in Andalusia, such as the autonomous model of decentralization,

the fight against sexist violence

or environmental policies.

The possibility of reaching agreements or not will depend, to a large extent, on the profile of the candidate and his willingness to negotiate.

"Vox will be useful if it makes sensible proposals and it will be totally useless if it is dedicated to boycotting the PP governments," he defended and later predicted that there will be territories in which the agreement will be possible and others in which it will not.

Moreno has refused to refer to Vox as a far-right party, as Esteban González Pons did on Wednesday.

"I don't like giving surnames to anyone because for a long time they also gave us names, although it is clear that it is a party very far to the right of the PP."

In relation to the crisis in his party, Moreno has acknowledged that there was discomfort with the strategy launched in the last stage by Pablo Casado's entourage, given that he seemed "more concerned with

controlling the territorial structures

of the party than with winning the elections".

The Andalusian leadership maintained a harsh confrontation with the national executive in the context of the provincial congresses held last spring, with special virulence in the province of Seville, with harsh accusations.

The congress was finally won by the candidacy promoted by Pablo Casado.

The election of

José Luis Sanz

as a candidate for Mayor of Seville was also an imposition of the national leadership that Juanma Moreno finally assumed to avoid reopening the wounds.
