NATO Deploys Elements of a Response Force for the First Time in the Context of Collective Defense

This is reported by TASS with reference to the statement of the military committee of the North Atlantic Alliance.

“NATO defense plans have been put into action, and as a result, elements of the NATO Response Force are being deployed in the context of collective defense for the first time,” the statement said.

It is noted that many countries of the alliance offered to provide Ukraine with military and humanitarian assistance.

The NATO Chiefs of Staff also considered a future deterrence and defense strategy.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said he did not see Russia as an "inevitable threat" to the security of the alliance.
