The activities of the fifth edition of UMEX and SimTEX 2022, organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, continued with the participation of major unmanned systems, training and simulation companies from 26 countries, and an unprecedented presence of high-level official delegations from different countries of the world.
On the second day of the two exhibitions, the Ministry of Defense announced the signing of three new deals with a total value of more than 966.25 million dirhams, compared to deals worth 156.091 million dirhams on the second day in 2020, bringing the total deals on the first and second days during this year’s edition to six deals with a total value exceeding 1.620 One billion dirhams, an increase of 159% over the deals of the first and second days in 2020.
The total value of deals signed by the Ministry of Defense with local companies participating in the UMEX and SimTEX exhibitions on their second day amounted to 874.174 million dirhams, while the value of deals and contracts with foreign companies exceeded 92.077 million dirhams.
The deals of the Ministry of Defense during the second day were distributed among a deal worth more than 874,174 million dirhams with the International Golden Group Company to purchase the unmanned aircraft system, and a contract worth more than 46.643 million dirhams with Andorell American Industries to complete the experiments of the anti-drone system, as well as the deals of the second day of my exhibitions. "UMEX" and "Simtex" 2022 deal worth approximately 43.434 million dirhams with the French company "MBDA" to purchase thermal burners.
This year's edition attracts prominent international companies, including General Atomics Aerospace Systems from the United States, L3 Harris Technologies from the United States, Insito from the United States, France's Nexter Systems, Ukraine Defense Group, Italy's Fincantieri, and AL Chinese IT, and many other leading international companies are using UMEX and SimTEX as a platform to launch their latest innovations and technologies in the unmanned systems sectors.
The fifth edition includes live shows to be held in the Sweihan Hills area, which is a qualitative platform for demonstrating unmanned aerial and ground systems and other artificial intelligence technologies and robots participating in the exhibition. The 15 shows will witness the unveiling of 22 advanced technologies and the latest new innovations in The field of unmanned systems.
This edition also hosts the "Modern Technology Track", which includes an itinerary that aims to take visitors on a journey that highlights the latest new and advanced technologies offered by the two exhibitions, UMEX talks, the best innovative solutions to challenges, and ways to foresee the future in a world where scientific developments and innovations are accelerating and increasing.
