SNCF Connect, here is the new name of the application and the site to book your tickets and obtain all the information necessary for a trip. Available this Tuesday morning, this new tool will replace oui.SNCF and L'Assistant. The stated objective is to simplify procedures, by centralizing everything in one place and by relying on artificial intelligence to save users time.

SNCF is innovating and wants to simplify the lives of its customers thanks to a new platform: SNCF Connect.

The general idea is first to bring together the two existing applications, oui.SNCF and the Assistant.

Clearly, in the same place you will have the possibility of buying a ticket, modifying it, getting a refund, but also knowing which platform your train will leave from, whether it is on time or even calculating the duration of your journey. a trip in real time and choose the most suitable mode of transport.

Easier, for example, to be able to buy a seat in a TGV but also in a TER for a connection, without having to go through another site or another counter.

It is also easier to be able to group all the loyalty cards in the same place and therefore benefit more easily from the right reduction.

Artificial intelligence at the center of the application

The result of nearly 2 years of work, more than a million customer opinions analyzed and above all thanks to artificial intelligence, SNCF Connect can be regularly updated and improved. The most complex part was setting up a “machine learning” tool. An artificial intelligence technology that allows computers to learn on their own based on history. It is therefore an algorithm that should simplify the lives of users. In particular in the way of looking for tickets. If you write "Paris Lyon departure Friday return Monday", the algorithm will offer you the corresponding times in a few moments, without having to fill in each box one by one. Another novelty, theCO2 impact of each trip will be even more highlighted.

For the SNCF, the competition promises to be tough with Google Maps, Bonjour RATP, Citymapper or even Moovit.

In the Paris region, Ile de France Mobilités, the Ile-de-France transport union, will soon launch its "IDFM Connect" for its 3 million Navigo customers.
