Stefan Mikaelsson, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Sami Parliament, believes that the authorities' actions are wrong, as they burned Anita Gimvall's horn in Stenträsk, Västerbotten.

- If you burn and destroy as the Swedes do here with rigid service legislation, then there is no community, then you violate yourself on this human rights instrument.

It is almost four years since the Enforcement Officer burned Anita Gimvall's peat hut in Stenträsk within the Vindelfjällen nature reserve.

But she did not give up, but built a new hut in the same place, which now risks facing the same fate.

Gimvall now only has one week to either move or demolish its new hut - which the County Administrative Board believes is an illegal building.

"Negativity from the Swedes"

But Gimvall insists that she has the right to keep the hut, as her reindeer herding ancestors had the original hut in the same place.

Mikaelsson believes that that right remains, despite the fact that Anita Gimvall is not a member of a Sami village.

- I think it is wrong that this Sami reindeer herding right is exposed with a negativity on the part of the Swedes in this way, and the more practitioners there are of the reindeer herding right, the stronger it also becomes, says Stefan Mikaelsson.

Will you act on the board's side in this matter?

- How to act or if to act, we have to have a discussion about, Mikaelsson answers.
