“The Kazakh authorities have a very positive attitude towards the Russian language, because Russian ... is the language of interethnic communication,” Kosherbaev said in a statement to RIA Novosti.
He added that there is no infringement of the Russian language in Kazakhstan.
According to the diplomat, cultural exchange projects would contribute to a better understanding between the youth of the two countries.
He said that in 2022 it is planned to hold days of Kazakhstan in Russia.
Kosherbayev also said that Kazakhstan and Russia are reliable allies and strategic partners, and the rumors about the "distance" of the two countries are false.
