Two floors of the lower house of the South African parliament burned down in a fire in Cape Town

This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to a representative of the mayor's office on security.

The fire engulfed the old building, which houses the National Council of Provinces (upper house of parliament), and new premises, where the National Assembly (lower house) sits. 

There were no reports of casualties.

Earlier it was reported that in the state of Colorado almost 1,000 houses were destroyed as a result of wildfires.
