The South African Meteorological Service issued a warning through television, radio, social media and other channels on the 6th. The widespread heavy rain will last for nearly a week and is very likely to trigger floods, mudslides and other natural disasters in many parts of South Africa.

The center of this rainfall may appear in Cape Town, the capital of the Western Cape Province. The city and most of its surrounding areas will usher in large-scale cold waves, strong winds, heavy rains and even blizzards.
