Kuwait called on its nationals to leave Britain, following the unprecedented increase in infections with the Corona virus, known as “Omicron.”

This came in a statement by the Kuwaiti embassy in Britain, urging the citizens there to leave British lands and return to the homeland, without mentioning their numbers.

And the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) quoted the statement that the embassy attributed this to the large and unprecedented rise in the number of infections with the new mutant of the Corona virus “Omicron” in the United Kingdom.

She explained that these rises may lead to the imposition of new measures such as general closure and irregular air traffic.

Yesterday, Saturday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on citizens wishing to travel to postpone their travel due to the increase in Corona injuries in the world in order to preserve their safety, according to a statement carried by KUNA.

On December 29, the World Health Organization announced that the risk of the rapidly spreading Omicron mutant is still very high, after the number of HIV infections jumped 11% globally a week before this warning.

It is noteworthy that the largest number of new infections with the mutant was recorded in the United States, Britain, France and Italy.
