China's high-speed rail operating mileage exceeds 40,000 kilometers

  On the morning of December 30th, the Anqing-Jiujiang section of the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed rail was officially opened for operation, which also marked the completion of the Shangqiu-Shenzhen section of the "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network from Beijing to Hong Kong (Taiwan).

So far, the operating mileage of China's high-speed rail has exceeded 40,000 kilometers, and the total mileage has been able to circle the earth's equator for one week; the total operating mileage of China's railway has exceeded 150,000 kilometers.

  According to reports, the Anjiu high-speed rail is an important part of the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed rail, with a total length of 176 kilometers.

It is connected to the Shangqiu-Hefei and Hefei-Anqing sections of the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed rail that has been in operation in the north, the existing Changjiu intercity railway, the Nanchang-Ganzhou section of the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed rail, and the Ganzhou-Shenzhen section of the Beijing-Hong Kong high-speed rail that has just opened. The high-speed rail link from Hefei to Nanchang connects directly.

  At the initial stage of operation, it is planned to operate 8 pairs of mobile trains with an operating speed of 300 kilometers per hour.

After the adjustment of the national railway operation chart on January 10, 2022, there will be 24 pairs of trains operating in a single day.

By then, it will take the fastest train from Hefei to Nanchang via Anjiu Section in 2 hours and 22 minutes, and 6 hours and 48 minutes to Shenzhen, which are respectively 1 hour 38 minutes and 2 hours 15 minutes shorter than before the opening of the Beijing-Hong Kong High Speed ​​Rail Anjiu Section.

  After the completion of this high-speed railway, it will shorten the time and space distance between the provinces and cities in central my country, greatly facilitate the travel of the people along the line, and is of great significance for promoting regional economic and social development and helping the implementation of the development strategy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
