On December 18, Wu Shiping, deputy director of the Ministry of Labor and Health of China National Railway Group, stated at a press conference on the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council that the 2022 Spring Festival Transport will begin on January 17 and end on February 25.

It is predicted that this year's railway transportation demand for students, migrant workers, visiting relatives and other basic travel needs will still maintain a certain scale. Passenger flow will increase significantly compared with the Spring Festival transportation in 2021, and the prevention and control of the epidemic situation during the Spring Festival transportation will face greater challenges.

The railway department will coordinate the prevention and control of the epidemic and the organization of the Spring Festival transport, scientifically, accurately, and strictly implement various epidemic prevention and control measures, strictly prevent the spread of the epidemic through railways, and strive to provide a safe and healthy travel environment for the majority of passengers.

The first is to provide capacity conditions conducive to the prevention and control of the epidemic.

Taking full advantage of the achievements of railway development such as the completion and commissioning of multiple new railway lines and the increase in the number of EMU equipment, the railway Spring Festival transportation capacity in 2022 will be increased by about 10% compared with 2019. The passenger rate of trains will be strictly controlled when tickets are sold and the trains are qualified. Implement decentralized ticket sales to provide relatively loose and more favorable capacity conditions for epidemic prevention and control.

The second is to strictly implement the prevention and control measures for the whole process of the ride.

Major railway stations across the country earnestly implement the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the local governments, and do a good job of checking the temperature of passengers entering the station according to regulations, and strictly preventing passengers who do not meet the requirements of the train from entering the station; strengthening the organization of passenger flow at the station, and guiding passengers to have Disperse pits in stations and use non-contact services such as self-service equipment to reduce the risk of contact transmission; stop the dinning service of the train dining car and send meals to the seats of the carriages; strengthen the station and train broadcast publicity to remind passengers to take personal protection; strengthen the station Car ventilation and disinfection, and regular environmental hygiene monitoring.

The third is to regulate the emergency handling of passengers involved in the epidemic during the operation of passenger trains.

Isolation seats are reserved on passenger trains in accordance with regulations, emergency isolation places are set up in stations, emergency response equipment for trains and stations are standardized, and emergency response training and drills are strengthened to ensure emergency preparedness.

Strengthen the joint prevention and control of railways and localities, on-board and off-vehicles. Once passengers involved in the epidemic are found, they will immediately handle the work in an orderly manner in accordance with regulations and scientific norms.
