The State Duma Committee approved for the first reading the bill on QR codes in public places

It is clarified that representatives of the committees for health protection, defense, industry and trade, as well as representatives of the medical community and a number of members of the Russian government, also took part in the consideration of the document.

The draft in the first reading should be considered at the plenary session of the State Duma on December 16.

Earlier it was reported that on December 16, the State Duma will consider in the first reading a bill on the introduction of QR codes in public places.

Also, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatyana Golikova said that the Russian government has prepared a plan to promptly counter the spread of the omicron coronavirus strain.

Infectious disease doctor Nikolay Malyshev, MD, in an interview with Nation News, recalled the importance of adhering to preventive measures against the background of detecting omicron cases.
