On Saturday, the football match between the U17s of Saint-Marc-sur-Mer and those of Blain (Loire-Atlantique) did not come to an end. The reason for this interruption? Scuffles after one of the players from Saint-Marc-sur-Mer was expelled by the volunteer referee from the match, which was taking place in Blain. This expulsion took place when one of the visiting players allegedly gave a ball to one of his opponents. Immediately sanctioned with a red card, the player would not have wanted to leave the field, as explained in an article from Ouest-France. Then causing a fight.
The president of Blain, delegate of the meeting, complains of having received several blows by the opposing players during the fight.
He would then have been forced to take refuge in the club bar.
Three players from Saint-Marc-sur-mer were also reportedly injured in the brawl.
A complaint was even lodged by the parents of one of the players of this team.
The League's disciplinary committee meets on Tuesday to rule on this match.
Sad scenario for this first round of the Pays-de-la-Loire U17 Cup.
