Ciotti and Pécresse win the 1st round of the Republican primary

After an intense campaign, Eric Ciotti and Valérie Pécresse won the first round of the Republicans primary and will face each other in the home stretch for the party's nomination for the presidential election of 2022, announced the party president. Christian Jacob, at a press conference.

The second round will take place from Friday 8 a.m. to Saturday 2 p.m.

The name of the winner and official right-wing candidate for 2022 will be announced at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
