Nikki Haley withdraws from the Republican primary and leaves the field open to Donald Trump. The former president is now alone in the running for the Republican nomination for the presidential election in November, undoubtedly facing outgoing Democratic President Joe Biden.

The decision was announced on Wednesday March 6, the day after “Super Tuesday” which saw Donald Trump win by a wide margin. The Republican primary for the American presidential election will take place on March 6 2024. The winner will be the Republican nominee for the U.S. presidency in November 2024.
