A 35-year-old motorist was checked by the gendarmes on the A131 near Oudalle (Seine-Maritime) this Sunday.

The man living in the Eure was driving under the influence of cocaine, the soldiers noted.

The individual was under the influence of a driving license cancellation for a previous driving after consumption of narcotics, reports

The technical control of his Citroën Xsara was also not up to date.

The gendarmes knew the car

The thirty-something will appear in court later.

His car was immediately taken away from him.

The gendarmes of the motorized platoon of Saint-Romain-de-Colbosc (Seine-Maritime) had not carried out this road check by chance.

A road repairman intervened the same morning on the highway to take charge of an abandoned vehicle that he had recognized.

It was the Citroën Xsara that he had towed to a garage after a breakdown reported by its driver.

This repair took place this Friday.

During his second intervention, the mechanic was accompanied by the gendarmes.

The latter therefore had no trouble recognizing the vehicle in question a few hours later on the highway.
