During Tuesday morning, a snowfall area pulled in from the west and mainly affected the western parts of Götaland and Blekinge and Småland.

For Skåne, northwestern and eastern Skåne are at risk.

Risk of strong winds

But on Wednesday and Thursday, the warning is extended to apply to the whole of Scania.

Then there is also a risk of strong winds in combination with the snow which can give rise to slipperiness, snowdrifts and power outages.

On some roads, it can be difficult to get to the traffic due to train formation and there is also a risk of delays in public transport.

The area north of Hallandsåsen is expected to be hit hardest by heavy snowfall.

Several accidents in the morning traffic

Already at 6 o'clock on Tuesday morning, a truck ended up in the ditch on the E6 just north of Fleninge.

- It is snowing and raining on the spot, but if that is the reason why the truck drove off the road, I do not know, says Filip Annas, press spokesperson at the police command center.

Just minutes later, a car drove down the ditch from the E4 at Helsingborg S. At half past seven, a single-vehicle accident occurred on the E6 with a car heading north, even at the height of Fleninge.

On the E6 at Hallandsåsen southbound, the road is closed due to a number of trucks being in poor condition, according to a traffic announcement.

There is currently no forecast for when it may be fully passable again.
