"These elections were held in a calm atmosphere," Niyazbekov was quoted as saying by TASS.

According to him, for the first time in history, they were held in accordance with all the requirements and norms of the law.

The minister noted that the situation in the country after the completion of the voting is stable.

Earlier, voting in the elections of deputies of the country's parliament ended in Kyrgyzstan.

About 2,500 polling stations in Kyrgyzstan and 59 more polling stations abroad, including in Russia, were opened for voting in the elections.
