“In the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, investigators are clarifying the circumstances of the accident with the Mi-2 helicopter ... No one has been injured as a result of the accident,” the ministry’s website said in a statement.
The incident occurred at about 11:00 Moscow time on November 25 in the Nizhnevartovsk region of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug.
There was one pilot on board the helicopter, who managed to leave the cockpit.
Three more people were taken on a reserve plane to Pokachi.
“After landing, the pilot dropped the passengers and the aircraft was waiting for their return with the engines running.
At the moment of parking, the landing gear collapsed, as a result of which the helicopter tilted, touched the ground with its blades and caught fire, ”the Russian IC explained.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee opened a case after the hard landing of the Mi-8 helicopter in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
According to preliminary data, the helicopter touched tree crowns during the landing approach.
