Natalia Shevchenko won gold in the mass start race at the Russian Biathlon Championships in Tyumen. The Tyumen region team won the men's relay, relying on accurate shooting.

The men's team used only two additional rounds and finished with the flag. The women's relay was won by the Sverdlovsk region, who train together and failed the relay the day before. The biathletes from these regions walked together with a small gap from each other after the first stage.
