The parties discussed the tasks of consolidating efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism, as well as resolving crises and conflicts in Africa.
"A thorough exchange of views took place on topical issues of further progressive development of Russian-South African traditionally friendly relations with an emphasis on strengthening foreign policy coordination and interaction, including within the UN and BRICS," the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
In addition, Bogdanov held a meeting with the Minister of Trade and Industry of South Africa, Ibrahim Patel, during which they discussed the prospects for building up multifaceted mutually beneficial Russian-South African cooperation in the trade, economic, investment and humanitarian fields.
Earlier, Bogdanov had a meeting with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Moscow Abdurrahman al-Ahmed.
