[HIGHLIGHTS] The Director General of the South African Foreign Ministry will visit Kyiv as part of the diplomatic search for a solution to the conflict

Zane Dangor will visit Kiev this week as part of diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. Nokuhania Jele, adviser to the President of South Africa on legal issues, will go to Ukraine with him.

In February, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said that Moscow had not heard of any new peace proposals over the past few months. The South African Foreign Office said that they will join other international partners in negotiations with senior Ukrainian officials on Wednesday, 20 March 2024.
