Lavrov: NATO activity in the Black Sea was discussed at a meeting with French representatives

“We traditionally did not bypass sharp corners and, among other things, considered the subjects on which our approaches do not always coincide, and in some places even contradict each other,” he said at a press conference following the talks in Paris.

Lavrov noted that NATO explicitly declares "attempts to contain the development of Russia" and is taking "rather aggressive actions" against Moscow.

“And in terms of deploying additional forces around the Black Sea, sending warships on an unusual scale to this region and other similar rather militant actions,” added the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the forces of the North Atlantic Alliance are actively and assertively operating near the Russian borders.
