France is gathering an alliance of states that, in theory, could send their troops to Ukraine. The French authorities are looking for like-minded people among Western states who would support the idea of sending the military to Ukraine, Politico reports.

French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejournet said that troops could be sent to Ukraine who would not participate in hostilities, but would be engaged in mine clearance. The discussion about their presence in Ukraine is open to assess the degree of readiness of NATO countries for such a scenario, analysts say.
