The Police Association's survey shows that 36 percent of the police do something active to plan for a working life outside the Police Authority.

This is particularly characteristic for police officers with many years in the profession, but also for investigators, scouts and police officers in intelligence activities.

- It's not at all surprising.

This is something we've known about for quite some time, unfortunately.

We have flagged to the Police Authority, but it feels like they have not really taken it seriously, says Anna Ramsten, chairman of the Police Association in the Central region.

"Lost the older colleagues"

According to the police union, quite a lot of money has been invested in the previous pay period, especially for the police officers who work in external service.

- The older colleagues who mainly work as investigators, scouts, traffic police, in intelligence or whatever it may be have been lost.

Police work is a team game and we must make sure to keep all police officers, says Anna Ramsten.
