The manager of a garage in Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône (Val-d'Oise) is suspected of covert work and employment of foreigners without a title.

The man was arrested on October 15 and a flagrant investigation against him was opened.

The gendarmerie group of the department carried out a search Thursday in a workshop located in the same city.

At the place, 827,990 euros in cash were discovered.

Information relayed by the military on their Facebook page.

The cash came "in particular from the sale of used vehicles", indicated the gendarmes on the social network.

The on-site operation also enabled them to note the presence of three employees in an irregular situation and not declared.

Thirty-five cars intended for resale via the dealership were also on site.

The police spoke of "a clandestine car repair shop".
