In Skelleftehamn a couple of miles outside Skellefteå, it was previously possible to buy a home for an extremely low price.

But now Northvolt's battery factory is shifting its focus to where it is interesting to live, according to brokers.

- Skelleftehamn has been in the shadow of the city, now it is no longer like that, says real estate agent Jan-Erik Lööf.

Four streets around Skellefteå are on the top ten list for the whole country of the streets where condominium prices have increased the most in a couple of years.

It shows a compilation made by Fastighetsbyrån with figures from Swedish Brokerage Statistics.

- We're just looking up, up, up right now.

They are trying to catch up with Northvolt in mind, but I have a hard time seeing that it will calm down in the foreseeable future, says Jan-Erik Lööf.
