Canada's new cabinet will maintain gender balance

Chinanews.com, Toronto, October 16. The new cabinet resulting from Canada's general election this fall will be sworn in on October 26.

The new session of the Federal Congress will begin on November 22.

The Federal Liberal Party, led by Justin Trudeau, won the general election in late September, but failed to win more than half of the seats in the House of Representatives as it wished, so the minority government situation will continue.

Trudeau told the outside world on October 15 that the new cabinet will still maintain gender balance.

Since Trudeau became prime minister in 2015, the overall ratio of male and female members of his cabinet has been maintained equally.

Chrystia Freeland (Chrystia Freeland) will continue to serve as deputy prime minister and treasurer in the new cabinet.

The remaining cabinet members are yet to be announced.

Trudeau said that the Canadian government will continue to focus on fighting the new crown epidemic, promoting social and economic recovery, and improving people's livelihood in housing and childcare, and addressing climate change.

On September 7, local time, at Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Canada, staff assisted international passengers who had just entered the country to go through the formalities.

He also said that in the near future, he will communicate with the opposition parties.

One of the key goals is to ensure that all members of the House of Representatives play an exemplary role in fighting the epidemic and achieve full vaccination of the new crown vaccine.

At present, more than 82% of eligible people over 12 years old in Canada have been fully vaccinated.

Trudeau also recently announced mandatory vaccination measures for federal civil servants and employees and passengers of public transportation such as flights and trains.
