Sudan post Omar al-Bashir turns its back on Palestinian Hamas.
The Committee for the Dismantling of the Regime of June 30, created after the ousting of the former leader, announced Thursday, September 23, 2021 the seizure of the assets of several companies, linked to the Islamist movement in power in the Gaza Strip.
A decision to which the United States is no stranger.

Buildings, hotels, shares in companies, television station or agricultural land, the list of goods seized by Sudan testifies to the extent of the network
that Hamas had forged in Khartoum during
the time of Omar al-Bashir.
The latter openly supported the Islamist movement against Israel and had let his country become a rear base, where Hamas militants could find refuge, raise funds or even deliver weapons.
This support had also continued despite the severing of ties in 2016 between Tehran and Khartoum.
Omar al-Bashir "
gave them preferential treatment during calls for tenders, tax exemptions, and allowed them to transfer funds to Gaza without limit of ceiling
", told Reuters a member of the Committee for the dismantling of the regime of June 30.
The seizures announced this Thursday therefore mark a turning point, a break that Washington had called for and even posed
among its conditions to remove Sudan
from its list of countries supporting terrorism.
According to Sudanese and Western sources quoted by Reuters, the United States even provided Khartoum with a list of companies to shut down.
