Reports about the new "Apple" phone, "iPhone 13", appeared on the Internet on Tuesday, most of them focused on updates to the internal parts of the phone, including longer battery life.
Overall, reviews have been positive on Apple's latest smartphone, with some praising the updated cameras, higher refresh rate display, and video capturing capabilities.
Others highlighted the new A15 Bionic chip, which gives the iPhone 13 a CPU that is up to 50% faster than competing devices, while delivering graphics that are up to 30% faster.
Last week, the company - led by Tim Cook - unveiled 4 new "iPhone" devices, "iPhone 13 mini", "iPhone 13" (iPhone 13), and "iPhone 13 pro". And the “iPhone 13 pro max”, along with the “Apple Watch” and “iPad mini”.
Starting at $699 for the iPhone 13 mini, the iPhone 13 provides 2.5 hours more power than the iPhone 12.
The smaller Mini gets an extra 90 minutes of power.
And the sizes of the “Super Retina XDR” screens remained the same as last year (2020), as “iPhone Pro” devices (made of stainless steel) come in sizes of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches for “Pro” and "Pro Max", respectively.
The iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 have Super Retina XDR displays of 5.4 inches and 6.1 inches, respectively.

Joanna Stern of the Wall Street Journal said all four devices had "notable advances", including battery life, highlighting strong promotions from carriers to win customers over.
However, Stern lamented that some of the camera and video improvements did not live up to Apple's promise.
"The results weren't rigorous enough that someone with an iPhone 12 would not need, or even want, more than the regular iPhone 13," Stern wrote.
She says it was only after looking closely at the photos that she was able to notice differences such as better handling of city lights and reflections in the water.
However, when compared to the iPhone XR or the iPhone 11, the difference is not much clearer.

CNET writer Patrick Holland was impressed with the cinematic mode on the iPhone 13, especially on the Pro.
"What makes the video compelling is that everything but the subject is out of focus," Holland wrote.
Holland was also impressed with Apple's iOS 15 operating system on "Pro" devices, noting that it "adds a host of features."

Brian Chen, a reviewer for the New York Times, was enthusiastic about the new models, calling them "the most incremental update to the iPhone ever".
Chen pointed out that the latest version of the iPhone is only 10% of the previous year's models, while the higher refresh rate in the more expensive Pro and Pro Max phones "hardly changes the rules of the game."
However, Chen also explained that the cameras are better than the previous year's models, especially in low light.
"The improvements in the new iPhone cameras were more noticeable in low-light photos taken using Night Mode, which take multiple photos and then combine them while making adjustments to color and contrast," he wrote.
"Max" shots in low light immediately after sunset seemed clearer when taken with the "iPhone 13 Pro" compared to the "iPhone 12".

TechCrunch reviewer Matthew Panzarino took the new devices to Disneyland, which he wrote was "the perfect place to test improvements", and found the new devices improved his ride.
"Overall this was one of the best experiences I've had to test a phone in the parks, with a continuous series of flashy moments with the cameras," Panzarino wrote.
"I ended up with a lot of beautiful shots like the 'Wide Angle' of the night mode and the close-up shots, which really impressed me.
"The iPhone 13 is impressive this year, as there is a strong improvement in picture quality, battery life and screen improvements that should serve Apple well over the next 12 months," Panzarino said.

The Verge reviewer Dieter Bohn said the improvements over last year's models are "important but not obvious at first", highlighting the camera system, battery life and refresh rate.
