To date, 400 households in the newly built Oceanhamnen have been connected to the test facility Recolab, which is a stone's throw from the Öresund plant and a long golf drive from the newly built Oceanhamen.

At the test facility, which has been in operation for just over six months, food and toilet waste becomes biogas, while the water from baths, washing and showers is purified using organisms and filters.

In the clip, Amanda Widén, development engineer at NSVA, shows how it works.
