Egypt.. The Public Prosecutor refers the accused in the “prostrating to the dog” incident to the felonies
Today, Tuesday, the Public Prosecutor in Egypt, Counselor Hamada El-Sawy, ordered the referral of three imprisoned defendants, two doctors and an employee of a private hospital, to criminal trial, in the case of “prostrating to a dog.”
And a statement published on the official page of the Egyptian Public Prosecution on the “Facebook” website stated that the Public Prosecutor ordered the referral of the three defendants to criminal trial “for accusing them of bullying a nurse by saying, and displaying strength and control over him, as they ordered him to prostrate to an animal owned by a doctor of the accused, taking advantage of his weakness and authority over him with the intent to Intimidating him, putting him in a position of ridicule and demeaning him, and thus attacking family principles and values in Egyptian society, violating the sanctity of the victim’s private life, and publishing them through the information network as a depiction of the incident of bullying, which violated the privacy of the victim without his consent, and their use of a private account on a social networking site with a view to committing these crimes.”
The statement added that the Public Prosecution "established evidence before the defendants, which was proven by watching a clip of the bullying incident, the defendants' acknowledgment of it and the correctness of their appearance in it, and what was proven from the testimony of the victim and two other witnesses, and what the defendants' confessions included in the investigations."
