- We hope that we will find consensus on how the sport should be and we think it is positive that people want to discuss this issue.

We also hope that it will lead to more girls entering the sport, because we all agree that it is needed, says Fredrik Sahl, member of IKSU fireball.

According to Fredrik Sahl, the weekend's event was about the cup's best girls and boys playing and that it was favorable to hit long distances and run fast.

The team therefore went around on few players and resulted in the girls not having to step in and hit to save from burning out.

Get girls into the sport

Sanna Rönnlund herself plays in a fireball team and she believes that many have difficulty getting girls to the team and believes that this may be due to the fact that the audience sees few girls play on the field.

- You also hear in school when a girl is going to hit that they shout "Go ahead, it's a girl who is going to hit!", And we have to get away from that, she says.

That's what the rules say

The rules say that there can be a total of eight people in the team.

Two of them should always be girls or boys, but there are no requirements as to who should hit during the match.
