• Crisis Dalmau breaks his silence to confirm that Illueca accepts to relieve him as the maximum position of Podemos in the Consell

When in June of last year, in the middle of the pandemic,

Pilar Lima won the Podemos primaries in the Valencian Community

by a narrow margin, there were those in the PSOE who put their hands on their heads. Akin to Pablo Iglesias and with a combative profile, Lima assumed the leadership of the party with the unknown of when and how far the internal purge would go and, above all, how that would affect the

role of the purple in the government of Ximo Puig

. Unlike Pedro Sánchez, the Valencian president had a loyal ally in the second vice president, Rubén Martínez Dalmau, the highest power in the Consell ... but from the critical sector with Lima.

Lima replaced in January the spokeswoman in the Cortes who had faced her in the primaries, Naiara Davo, and yesterday she officially communicated to Puig the change in the Dalmau Council, who throws in the towel tired of internal wars. In the first face-to-face meeting between Puig and Lima at the Palau de la Generalitat, both agreed yesterday that Héctor Illueca, the current director of the Labor Inspection, will replace him next week.

They thus closed a crisis that led Puig to threaten a

minority government

- that is, only with Compromís - to make Lima see that he was not willing for Podemos to become a problem within the Valencian Government. Or, what is the same, that the purple ones were dedicated to making internal opposition from the Consell itself, which is something that has been suspected with the change of strategy in Podemos since the arrival of Lima. In fact, the socialist baron has publicly requested "loyalty" to his partners this week.

Not in vain, it is Podemos who has the power to appoint the second vice president by virtue of the political agreement with PSOE and Compromís.

The concern in the socialist leg of the Consell for this unexpected change is remarkable

. From the outset, it arrives with the management still focused on the pandemic, forces a remodeling of the Consell to which Puig himself has resisted (in summer the rumor of changes in the second step started again) and in practice means for the president the loss of a partner who has come to align with him in front of Mónica Oltra and Compromís in public confrontations over Covid restrictions, for example. In this sense, Dalmau has always fled from the quarrel with his partners.

Symptomatic were, in fact, the words yesterday from Lima, which has already raised the tone in the Cortes to question certain policies: "For Podemos, it is not easy to be within the Government, because we are required more than the rest, but we assume it because we are different, authentic and capable of facing the powerful. "

Of course, he guaranteed that "there is still a lot of Botànic" and

spoke expressly of loyalty with Puig

: "We agree that it is reciprocal."

In an appearance before the journalists, Lima was asked the direct question:

Will it harden the positions of Podemos in the Consell?

"The president has not transferred his concern to me about that. Illueca has a good spirit and capacity for dialogue, with which there will be harmony."

Once the crisis in the Consell is closed, the internship in the formation is still open.

After an executive was called almost in secret to close the Dalmau stage, Podemos considers Illueca's name ratified in the

Citizen Council

- where there are critical voices - "by a large majority" (80% of the votes).

Now, "it has not met, but has voted on it electronically and it will be called when it is time to debate."
