Sohail appears in the sky of the Emirates, heralding the decline in temperature

Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, said that the Suhail star appears in the sky of the Emirates today, as it appeared from the southeastern horizon at 155 degrees from the north at dawn, about 50 minutes before sunrise, and its rise time and period of stay gradually advances above the horizon at night.

Al-Jarwan said that the Arabs consider the rising of the star Suhail as a sign of the clearing of the heat and the reversal of intense heat, as she says (if Suhail rises, the night is cold) “cold” meaning his temperature has decreased.

He pointed out that starting from mid-August and before the rise of Sohail during the second half of August, the features of the natural changes associated with the end of the heat and the beginning of the (zero) season begin, from a decrease in high temperatures, an increase in humidity and the blowing of gentle southeast winds that reduce high temperatures. .

The fish also approach the coasts due to the low temperature of their waters, and you see migratory birds, and the acacia trees attend and the Sidr blooms. During this period, the weather remains hot, but the temperatures are often below 40 degrees Celsius.

And with the middle of October, with the beginning of the “wasm” season, the cold air begins at night and begins to be felt with dawn, with the warmth of the day, as for the coldness of the air during the day and the severity of the cold, it is time to enter the (square) winter in mid-December.
