A large group of young people have been affected by a corona outbreak.
Therefore, the young people are not allowed to return to school this week, but now the teaching is planned to start on Monday 23 August.
The reason for the spread of infection among young people must have been parties where several people gathered.

How many are infected?
- I do not want to go into numbers, but it is a larger group that has been infected, many enough for us to be worried.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, it was thought that students in high school would have started school and high school students in year 1.
The high school students in year 2 would have started on Wednesday.
But now Tranås municipality, together with the infection control doctor, has chosen to postpone the start of school.
- You have to take the infection seriously, this is not over yet.
These groups must refrain from meeting each other and we want to encourage people to test for covid-19 at the health center, says Cecilia Axelsson.
Can distance learning be relevant?
- We have a new ordinance on vocational education in place when it comes to these groups. Right now we want the young people to avoid meeting in their free time and if they do not happen, the school should be able to start next Monday. I do not want to anticipate the events, says Cecilia Axelsson.
