02 August 2021The first session of August ends in positive territory for all European stock exchanges, with the exception of Milan which drops 0.05%. The day was decidedly tonic also for Piazza Affari, then the final slowdown: the Ftse Mib was weighed down above all by bank stocks.

Unicredit (-1.96%) and Mps (-1.71%) are still in the spotlight, awaiting developments on possible future weddings. Economy Minister Franco will report to Parliament on Wednesday.

The other European stock exchanges meanwhile closed well, in particular Paris up by almost one point, London by 0.70%, while Frankfurt is satisfied with a modest 0.16%.

Overseas the session looked promising, but even on Wall Street the price lists are pulling the handbrake. The Dow Jones marks -0.06 & and the Nasdaq + 0.18%.
