If you're a fan of medical soaps, you might imagine that all doctors like Gregory House from "House" or Sean Murphy from "The Good Doctor" are ingenious and dedicated to their work, but these... The perfect picture is about to be transformed when you start watching the new series, Dr. Death.

“I had back pain for years” “I was crying in pain” “What a nightmare” “I wish I could go back to my life before I met Christopher Dench” You might imagine these are the testimonies of former prisoners who were tortured, but they are only a small part of the stories Horrific recounted by former patients who underwent surgery to the American doctor Christopher Dench, who was described as the "doctor of death."

And if that doesn't sound scary enough, you should know that the story of Dr. Donetsch and his patients is all true, and it actually happened a few years ago.

Deliberately mutilating patients

The series "Doctor of Death" - consisting of 8 episodes - presents some of the "crimes" of surgeon Donch, who was working in Texas, and his patients were not spared him;

Either by death or permanent disability, and of course every doctor has his failures, but Donetsch seems determined to harm and mutilate his patients, and after a failed operation, the patient wakes up in a much worse condition than he was before he fell under the “doctor killer” scalpel.

And he doesn't admit his mistake, he starts to manipulate and blame the nursing staff or the anesthesiologist or whatever gets him out of his predicament, and not only did this amount of mischief, but continue his way and talk to more patients with confidence and arrogance and convince them that he "will fix them".

Outstanding Student and Failed Surgeon

And you might wonder how Donch could get away with something like this?

Of the 37 patients who had surgery over a period of nearly two years, 33 were hurt. Some had back pain but woke up from the client paralyzed or speechless because Donnch "cut the nerve to the vocal cord" by mistake, even his childhood friend He was not spared, so he went to him for a spinal operation and woke up with a quadriplegic.

Here, the events of the series go back, to explain the reason behind this, when Donch was in high school, then university, and then during his master's studies. The events reveal how he painted his picture as a diligent and specialized doctor, and the son of a physical therapist.

Indeed, he proved his skill by excelling in studies, obtaining a master's degree, joining a doctoral program at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and spending dozens of hours in cancer and stem cell research.

These certificates made Donich a wonderful choice for any hospital, especially since the presence of neurosurgeons in hospitals brings them more revenue, and with these certificates it is difficult to question him, and patients trusted him for the same reasons that were quickly exposed when he was appointed a surgeon in 2011, and his colleagues discovered He's a good doctor but only "on paper".

A psychopath in a doctor's gown

While Donch persists and does not want to stop doing more irreparable damage, doctors Randall Kirby and Robert Henderson realize the extent of the disaster he is doing, and from the horror of what he is doing, the two doctors suspect that he is a psychopath or sadistic who enjoys torturing his patients, but they decide to stop him when He was singled out and chased until he was imprisoned to spend the rest of his life.

Kirby and Henderson's more-than-expected journey begins. Despite the evidence that he mutilated patients, his manipulation was not easy. Meanwhile, as the two doctors seek to sue him, Donch switches between hospitals and continues to infect more patients.

He dug his own grave

But with his blunders and the insistence of Doctors Kirby and Henderson, we were able to pursue him and provide more evidence to the judiciary after one of his operations was described as an "attempted murder", and in June 2013, Donnch's medical license was suspended and then revoked completely after a few months.

Donnch's life subsequently deteriorated, and he used drugs and alcohol while prosecutors worked with Kirby and Henderson to find a way to convict him. In the end, Donnch was charged with five counts of aggravated assault, and one count of causing harm to an elderly person.

Donetsch was sentenced to life in prison in 2017 after mutilating and killing nearly 40 patients he operated on between 2011 and 2013.

The series is directed by Maggie Kelly, played by American actor Joshua Jackson, and stars Alec Baldwin, Christian Slater, as Doctors Henderson and Kirby, and Anna Sophia Robb as prosecutor Michelle Shugart. The series received a rating of 7.9 out of 10 on the "IMDB" website. (IMDb).
