At the same time, TASS noted that a high-ranking State Department representative indicated that Germany had pledged to create a "green fund" for Ukraine's energy sector in the amount of $ 1 billion. 

"Within the framework of the American-German partnership on climate and energy, Germany has pledged to create a 'green fund' for Ukraine and allocate $ 1 billion to support the country's energy transition, energy efficiency and energy security," she said.

Earlier, US Undersecretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland said that the United States had reached an agreement with Germany on Nord Stream 2.
