The fires only had time to be a few square meters before they could be extinguished, but they are a couple in a series of fires that have occurred in terrain in the areas around Mullsjö so far this summer.
According to Daniel Wangler, the police's preliminary investigation leader, they are looking at a possible connection.

Also during the summer of 2020, a number of fires occurred in Mullsjö, including at a campsite.
In November, a man was arrested on suspicion of setting two of the fires, but he was later released.
But with regard to one of these fires, the police investigation is now complete and handed over to prosecutors.

Now it is up to the prosecutor to decide how to proceed, says Daniel Wangler.
Daniel Wangler does not want to speculate about whether this summer's fires have anything to do with those that occurred last year.
