Alcohol is allowed and veiled women are not prohibited

Commenting on the controversy surrounding the ceremony, the Masrawy news website quoted Selina Mikhail - the organizer of the ceremony - that "most of the rumors about the ceremony are fictional, and 25 years have been set as a minimum age to attend, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Tourism, because the place serves alcohol."

She added, "With regard to the requirement for couples to attend, what is wrong with that? Knowing that it is known to be applicable in many places and is not new. We will not allow young men to enter alone so as not to provoke anyone's distress."

And Mikhail indicated that "we have no problem in the presence of veiled women, and we have not issued any indication to prevent veiled women from attending."

Meanwhile, the "Stand for Hijab" account published a message attributed to Ruby confirming that veiled women were allowed to enter the ceremony, and denied the rumors that they were banned, stressing that she refuses to sing in a space that prevents veiled women, explaining that what raised this rumor is an error in translation.
