Paris Plages 2021, an edition of novelties and a strict health protocol

This Saturday morning marks the opening of Paris Plages.

The space will remain open until August 22.

The quays of the Seine will once again be transformed into a space for relaxation and leisure at the water's edge.

With the program some new features and a strict sanitary protocol.

The deckchairs again cover the banks of the Seine and the banks of the Villette.

Free entry to enjoy some rays of sunshine or set up leisure activities.

On the banks of the Seine, several sports areas, catering services, but also a photo exhibition and an outdoor library.

At the Bassin de la Villette, it will be possible to swim and practice various water activities: kayaking, paddleboarding, or even pedal boats.

, a fan zone project at the Trocadéro.

On the program: broadcasts of the Olympic Games and the European Basketball Cup as well as an international skateboarding event.

But the project is still under discussion between elected officials.

Of course, all this will be framed by a strict health protocol: distance from deckchairs, wearing of the recommended mask and flexible hours.

The quays of the Seine area will be open from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. and that of La Villette from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A Doctolib space has also been set up on the quays in order to make an appointment to be vaccinated.
